Bringing on a sharp stinging attack, Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America claimed that Nintendo hopes to sell at least 1 million consoles by December of this year and that they had priced the Wii to make profits. Clearly taunting close competitors Sony and Microsoft whose Playstation3 and Xbox360 make a loss for every console sold, Reggie said that Nintendo was in the business to make a profit and was doing so.
The criticism must be stingins since this is not the first time that Nintendo has attacked its competitors to sell their consoles at a loss only to garnr a larger pie of the market share. Wii has managed to do so soleley on the basis of its superior game play and value for money offered to customers.
