''Unlike our competitors, we don’t have ulterior motives'', and so starts the verbal war between the gaming behemoths Nintendo and Microsoft. Nintendo does have a point here. Unlike Microsoft which has been known to under price its products only to cut out the competition, Nintendo claims that they run a profit making company.
Claiming that they were in the business to make a profit, Nintendo of Canada exec Pierre-Paul Trépanier says that they are making money from Day 1 of Wii going on sale unlike the Xbox.
From initial reports, its clear that the Wii seems to be the flavor of the season for gamers. However all of the new consoles are expected to be sold out prior to Xmas since even with the high expectations , the manufacturers simply will not be able to cater to the holiday demand.
The Nintendo Wii will launch in Japan on December 2, six days ahead of the European release.
