This alarm clock thinks its particularly funny to drag you out of bed on those cold, damp mornings when you would pay to stay in bed. However this unforgiving little gizmo can be quite handy for people who regret those extra minutes in bed. This extremely effective clock has a propeller that flies off its stand when it goes off. To shut off the alarm ,one needs to hunt for the pesky little thing and reattach it to the clock, till which the alarm shouts itself hoarse.

Did you not always wonder, just how the magician managed to do it? Pulling off a trick like levitation must have required some immense will power of magical strength. Turns out, it requires neither. And in this exciting video, this gentleman even shows us in plain detail, just how levitation is made possible. Levitation (from Latin levis, light) is the process by which an object is suspended against gravity, in a stable position, by a force without physical contact.

Well then, having seen it all ; or so I thought until this amazing new came along of this condo tenant who having lived there for 8 years was found with 70,000 beer cans strewn about his house. Rather than be nagged to death when staying with a partner, the smarter amongst us prefer to stay alone (ok, fine, I belong to this category as well). But that does make it a bit boring when there is no one to listen to your moans ; groans and soothe you. Try the interactive room with emotions. Coming from Japan (where else) ; the room render as it is called as is smart enough to control various electronics, hardware, and appliances in a room from spoken commands as well as emotions of the room's occupants.

No, though it would have been a grand gesture, the Red iDog is not courtesy of Project Red . Rather a colored variant to this popular pet. iDog features 7 colored LED lights that flash in many different patterns when music is played through idog. Unfortunately the American version is a bit downgraded from the Japanese one which is capable of several emotions and interactions.

Talk about advances. The pace at which technology moves is not just killer in itself, but it is relentless. Toshiba has come out with what it claims is the highest capacity drive for mobile computing. For iPod users who already own a 80 GB model, the move could mean that they could now store about 5000 more songs, bringing up the total count to 25,000 songs.

My maternal grandpa has found a new hobby ever since he learnt the benefits of digital music, mobile music players and more importantly the MP3 format. Asking me to explain thrice, to make sure he understood the concepts, he proceeded to open three large wooden drawers filled with LP's (vinyl records) and asked me to do the needful to get them onto his spanking new iPod that he would get the next day. Unfortunately at the time, there was no 'InstantMusic Vinyl & Cassette Ripper'

Bone conducting headsets are nothign new, but if they are bluetooth based then that is certainly a step further. But there sure is something weird about the 'VIBE NVP 100' as AVING calls it. The controls are in a funny place. I can understand having the headphones behind the ear would not be a problem since one conducting technolofy is being used but controls that cant be seen!? Some one please explain this one to me

Unlike the original line which went bird /plane/ superman - this one lets everyone be right. The Genius Navigator 380, is a combination VOIP phone, instant-messaging device, and a 1200dpi optical mouse all in one. The form factor of this baby is where the ingenuity lies. When the clamshell is closed, it works like a mouse. Yet incoming calls are not missed thanks to the LED at the top which flashes for alerts.

If you always fantasised being Luke Skywalker then here is something to add some bite to the dream. Get one of these real R2-D2's this Christmas and live it up. Star Wars fans never had it so good until this mechanised pet for about only $120 USD. R2 obeys more than 40 voice commands (Turn around! Move forward two units!) and he plays games like tag, using an infra-red sensor to search for people in a room. He can even act as an alarm for detecting intruders!

There is no such thing as a free lunch, sounded my Economics professor on a drab Monday morning. How I wish I had the example of the FuturePhone. This company allows you to call any of 50 countries from the United States, free. There’s no contract, no ads, nothing to sign up for. At the prompt, press 1 for English. Then punch in 011, the country code and the phone number. The call rings through immediately. Absolutely no catch whatsoever. So how long will the part last? Well...

There are things that remind you that it certainly is the twenty-first century. Things such as the AntWorks - Space Age Ant Habitat. How could, one wonders, can anything be done to the good old ant hill experiment that all of us saw as kids in the school. We saw how hard working ants were, how they managed their colonies and there was more to them then just scurrying around mindlessly. But its 2006 and like all things old, the ant hill had to change or so decreed NASA. Based on a real space experiment...

It just so happens to be, it JUST SO HAPPENS to be that my girl friend cannot sleep anywhere except on her side of the bed. Now that by itself would not be such a bad thing except that the light switch happens to be on my side as well. Which would still be all right if she did not have to get up in the middle of the night every night and ask me to switch it on to find her way. I just found what happens to be the perfect solution. Get her these lighted slippers, they are even intelligent enough to come on only in the night time!

Unlike your boring old timepiece which does little else then tell time *Yawn* , the Thanko FMP3 watch seems to have the competition from gadgets well under control. Now how could a beer belly be a good thing? When its not a real beer belly, but just a belly filled with beer to help you create a real beer belly. Nice tongue twister there, but rather than go around in loops trying to clear it up; the artificial bladder is a nice way of storing beer anywhere. It saves the trouble of carrying it around, saving it from being accidentaly spilt and of course no paying thrice the price at games and festivals. Hell, no one would even know that you smuggled in just over four pints of beer.

Talk about commitment to students. Countries of the far east where english is not as popular as it should be are afraid of loosing out in the rat race owing to their poor skills in the Queen's language. This has prompted them to take some aggresive steps, such as the creation of a special island town where only english would be spoken. Students would be completely 'immersed' in the language said a spokesman.

Be it Indian summers or the ones in Texas ; fact is that we are just no longer capable of being exposed to the elements. While getting a bit of sun every now and then is fine, getting sun burnt or a heat stroke is no one's idea of fun. And rather than operating on batteries or anything so passe ; they have decided to let it operate on solar energy. Nothing radical about it considering the Japanese are coming out with solar powered inventions every other day but of course the fact that this particular 'time piece' as I called it is actually an entire building which will be used to tell the time. The building itself is a residential complex and is one of 24 which will be created in every time zone in the world. The building will use for its rotation merely 21 electic kettles' worth of solar power.

Microwaves are supposed to be these squarish / rectangular devices with buttons / controls on one side and a door on the other. Someone obviously forgot to teach this simple basic fact to the Yankodesigner Woo Seokmoon.
