Free International Calling for Americans

free_calls.jpgThere is no such thing as a free lunch, sounded my Economics professor on a drab Monday morning. How I wish I had the example of the FuturePhone. This company allows you to call any of 50 countries from the United States, free. There’s no contract, no ads, nothing to sign up for. At the prompt, press 1 for English. Then punch in 011, the country code and the phone number. The call rings through immediately. Absolutely no catch whatsoever. So how long will the part last? Well...

The company has promised to maintain the completely free front till 2010. You pay only for a call to the access number in Iowa, which is 712-858-8883; if you use your cellphone on nights or weekends, even that’s a free call. Of course considering the growing popularity of the service, it is getting difficult to get through on occassions but even then, completely free!!!
