Red iDog: Sega brings in colors

Posted by Funkyguy on December 11, 2006 1:08 PM

segatoys_idogred.jpgNo, though it would have been a grand gesture, the Red iDog is not courtesy of Project Red . Rather a colored variant to this popular pet. iDog features 7 colored LED lights that flash in many different patterns when music is played through idog. Unfortunately the American version is a bit downgraded from the Japanese one which is capable of several emotions and interactions.

Simply press on iDog's nose to wake it up, whence it will begin to play music as it waits for its owner to play with it. iDog becomes happy when you touch its ears or pat its head, becomes surprised when you touch its nose or wave your hand in front of him, and becomes angry when you touch its tail. While the lovable dog is available only for $35; the manual is in Japanese so dont expect much understanding unless you are fluent with the tongue of the land of the rising sun.
