Fashionable folks who like visiting Fashionfunky have a thing about cleanliness. Folks here know no limits when it comes to being in the loop and this means taking extreme measures when necessary to remain amongst the fashionable elite. I am not sure if the stain revealing light does anything to help matters or simply make them worse, but fact is that it exists and at $6.99 does not really need second thoughts before being bought.

While on the subject of cleanliness and stains, how about ensuring that they never get there in the first place? Innumerable number of expensive rugs, carpets and sofas must have been destroyed by pets convinced that this soft cushiony feelings is their territory alone and it must be claimed by - urinating on it. The sofa guard pet alarm is a funky device which lets the pet know that this is really not such a good idea. The guard is a simple yet extremely effective device and consists of a mat which is 4 and a half feet long. Lay it on the rug , carpet or sofa and as soon as the pet jumps on it an extremely loud alarm (105 decibels). To have an idea as to how loud that is, understand that a snow blower produces 110 decibels of sound and is extremely annoying not to mention impossible to work next to it without ear muffs. Though the MP3 ear muffs would not be such a great idea either.

Cell phones for females I think sometimes are meant merely for making calls and not receiving them. Whenever I have had the mis-fortune of calling up my girl when it is really important to talk to her, she is certain not to answer the phone. Trouble is with the large fashionable bags that the opposite sex wants to carry, the ringtone as well as vibrations get muffled in the interiors of the bag. Trying to get her to use a seperate cell phone cover does not work as she wants to carry just one bag, and stuff all her accessories into it which *must* be carried as well.

Breath analyzers have been so far used only by law enforcement agencies and the results of their devices have often been contested vigorously ven in courts. Whats more, these devices were not so cheap as to allow small businessmen such as delivery based businesses to check if their drivers were erring on the wrong side of the law. Also drivers who often thought they were on the border of the legal limit, would be fined upon finding that they had already crossed it a couple of drinks back.

A unique system that can produce Hydrogen inside a car (named as Engineuity) using common metals such as Magnesium and Aluminum has been developed by an Israeli company. Few devices manage to indulge the human passion for beauty and yet generate resources rather than hogging them. If you dont believe me, get any fancy car enthusiast and ask him what kind of mileage his dream car delivers, you are sure to be met with a look of disbelief for even daring to ask such a question. Coming back to the waterwheel, all it needs is a 18" fall of water. This much is enough to generate power to keep your entire house running. Before you go all green and decide to puke over the keyboard, this is not something out from a horror fantasy. Rather the designer has managed to wonderfully execute this 'living dining table'. The designer has used vermicomposting to give a digestive system to the table. The table even lets you see the worms eating up and recycling the leftovers with a LCD screen that is built-in to the table's surface. A living ecosystem of worms, sowbugs and bacteria are invited to this table. They are a part of the digestive system that starts with a person discarding food leftovers and shredded paper into the portal at the top.

Hated the fact that while Creative Zen users could easily load the songs on to their music players, you had to struggle around with iTunes, which is not in my opinion the best of players or software. As a child I never really understood the motion of the earth when the teacher tried explaining it to me on the black board. It later hit me when I saw Superman and they showed the globe rotating against the backdrop of his spaceship just about to land on our beautiful planet. Even the traditional globe with its hinges does not exactly do the trick. However this new anti gravity globe which spins can show beautifully how Mother Earth spins on her axis in the vastness of space with no physical support to hold her in place.

Skiwear was meant to keep you safe and warm, that was until Norwegian World Champion skier Lasse Kjus decided that it needs to be smart, fashionable yet warm. The result was the Kjus System Skiwear that utilises micro-technology to keep the wearer warm and comfortable. Two technologies are used to make this possible. The first involves fabrics interwoven with tiny beads of wax that melt to store warmth, later releasing it when temperatures fall and the balls stiffen.

Often important data on CDs must be retrieved no matter what the cost. Unfortunately a few scratches in the wrong places and the best of CD players seem to be helpless. The Optoclear system can help even in the worst case. OptoClear works like ironing a shirt—it applies the right combination of heat, pressure and time to iron out the peaks and valleys on the disc, better known as scratches. Once a disc is inserted, the protective plastic layer is exposed to heat, making the surface malleable. Simultaneously, the right amount of pressure is applied to smooth out the surface, turning the skipping mountain range back into a playable plane.

The Sony Ericsson W200i comes with an interesting hypothesis. Sony Ericsson acknowledges that the 128 megabyte stick that they supply along with the device is simply not enough for music fans to store their albums. So while they kept the option of allowing users to go in for a higher memory stick (upto 1 GB) open, they also suggested that the Sony Ericsson W200 was not meant to be a competitor to the MP3 player that their consumers would already have but rather a device whihc complements the same.

Few people like to sit in the loo for long like yours truly, but I would be guilty only when there is a sufficiently interesting book to hold my attention. With this Ultimately pimped out toilet (Believe you me, its a trademark!). This extremely pimped out toilet has enough gizmos to not just spend a few hours but a few days before you even think of coming out. And rather than pay some exhorbitant price for this funky loo ; the Roto Rooter (cleaning company) is giving it away absolutely free to those who win in a contest held on their website.

Ever since Friends became the one single popular show that was watched unanimously by the Family, certain terms got accepted into our extended household. Like I have this cute elder sister who always persists in 'doing a Monica' (according to us that stands for a cleanliness freak). But the way she gets the house in order gets on my and my brothers nerves. We are faced with a barrage of orders on putting things back where they belong while she cleans the house. Stuffy way to spend the weekend to say the least. Bother ourselves no more shall we as I have already ordered 2 pairs of Vaccum shoes from Electrolux to be delivered when they finish finalising the product.

Ever since December when the Italian government decided to ban ultra-thin models (these really were too thin) ; things have been in an uproar with several fashion designers claiming that there is no such thing like too-thin. Someone should try explaining this to the teenagers who get influenced by these models and undergo eating disorders. Mario Boselli, the head of Italy's National Fashion Chamber along with big names in teh fashion industry such as Armani, Versace and Prada have decided to support the government's move. Along with ultra-thin models, who are defined as ones with a Body Mass Index of less than 18.5

Kwispelbier which literally translated means 'wagging tail' in Dutch is the beer for dogs. It was created after Gerrie Berendsen wanted her dogs to share light refreshments with her after a day's hunting. She felt that since they had played their part to perfection during the hunt and worked equally hard, they too served to relax with a drink. Since beer is not exactly good for the dog's digestive system, Miss Berendsen commissioned the small local Schelde brewery to make and bottle the beer.

Reebok, the latest sponsor for NHL has decided to go in for a fashionable as well as performance enhanced uniform for the players. These uniforms will have the special advantage of being resistant to moisture that the player faces during play (including sweat and drinks) which will not be able to seep through as a result would not weigh the player down, as is the case with traditional uniforms. In an age where every bit of advantage is needed and where winning counts for everything, these uniforms are thought to provide the winning edge.

We thought that the Nike iPod Sports deal was a one-off. But buoyed by the success (Indeed the grey market also had a field day selling duplicate products for a fraction of the price which did the same thing) ; Nike has decided to offer accessories for those who purchased the Nike iPod Sports kit. These shall be in the form of hybrid watches and wireless remote controls. The first is to be called Flight+ which is a sophisticated digital wrist watch and wireless remote control while the Amp+ is less complex. The third is Aero+ whose details are even fewer.

Funky says a dictionary can be defined as 'stylish and modern in an unconventional way' ; the Ed thinks that we may be over doing the term a bit. But we protested. With all the Funkiness around (you forgot the Funky Fone already!?) ; we can hardly be accused of not being creative enough. These color changing speakers are certainly stylish and completely unconventional. These otherwise transparent icy colored speakers certainly dance to the tune once you turn them on. Multi-colored LEDs built into the skin of these speakers will have them morph into completely random colors in tune with the music.

Loo's were once something that would certainly not get mentioned on a fashion site. But all that changed since Microsoft came up with the Brows-O-let as we call it and the really pretty fish toilet and of course the Pimped up toilet. But rather then go into a report on history, why not tell you about Louie, the latest reason for us to bring toilets back to the fore. This sound activated toy sits in the Loo quietly until someone decides to disturb him with one of the *err* disgusting sounds that would probably be common in a loo.

Worried about the confusion with the different formats of HD DVDs? Well last you heard, it was probably something about Blu-Ray being better being followed by HD DVD being much better and both having gotten some new technologies to improve and perhaps to combat each other even better. Sometimes you may even have heard that some studios are supporting one format over another. All this has resulted in the consumer delaying his decision to purchase a player (yep, there would be seperate players for seperate formats).

If Apple wishes to rule with the iPhone, then can the only other company which is held in such a high stead by the consumers - Google be far behind? Rumours are abound about the phone from Google. To be called as the Google Switch, it will have special features such as an enhanced tie up with Google maps bringing to the consumer the power of GPS like never before. Google shall probably tie-up with Samsung according to Engadget to make this dream come true. Operators like 3, Vodafone and T-Mobile have already been approached if they are to be believed. The best part about the Google Switch is that it will not have any internal memory and everything will be based on the network.

We mentioned while featuring the iFrogz Tadpole (the device which allowed really young kids to use the iPod safely) that it was not really a wise move and over everything else, it did not give the toddler any controls over the iPod. So while it may be swell to give the video iPod with some cartoon running to the kid to keep him distracted, he would be much more delighted if he had his very own music player. Playskool which has been in the business of bringing toys to kids has entered the music playing market with several products.

Caught by TecheBlog, this is the worlds slimmest cell phone with a thickness of only 5.9 mm. While the model number itself was not found (we sincerely understand, Samsung has this horrible habit of not giving out clear press releases unlike Nokia) ; some features that have come to light are the 80 megabytes internal memory, Bluetooth , TV out connection as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera. The phone should be announced in February during 3GSM show in Barcelona and is expected to go on sale this March (thats 2007 itself).

The ScottyPro revolutionalises solar power by truly bringing it to the masses. All it needs is a few hours of decent sunlight everyday. This results in charging up its internal batteries which can then be used to charge cell phones, iPods and in short any device with a USB port (of course one that can be charged from the USB port), this would also mostly include your digital camera. Optionally, you could pop in a couple of AA batteries into the gadget and it would start charging devices instantaneously. You can also recharge the device from a regular power socket and take it along as an emergency power source during travel.

Myki (my key) is the RFID technology that Melburnites will soon be using to access their public transport system rather than the current Met Cards. The $500 Million system has been criticised mainly due to the presence of an already adequate ticketing system. However the Myki will store monetary value, and the best fare for the user's trip will be calculated automatically. This means that the same card will be valid for the lifetime of the user and it only requires occasional top ups of money (depending on how much you are using it of course). Scanning the ticket is necessary (like the met cards) but much simpler since it can still be inside the wallet or purse.
