We have long been attracted to phones thanks to their colors, features and forms. But no cell phone has ever taken personalisation to a level that we are now witnessing. Scientists in Korea have redefined personal cell phones with the cellular phone robot. This baby scurries around the house looking for you when someone calls, it also does not bother you with irritating beeps when it is low on power rather it goes straight to the power source and suckles up

The Cellular phone robot (CPR) is able to understand your emotional reactions to calls and associate them with the caller. This is possible since the CPR is able to measure emotions using biometric measurements. This helps the robot in reacting accordingly the next time the same person calls. The robot can alert its owner in three ways to a call. It could be an olfactory, tactile or visual reaction. Unlike the single scent phone that NTT DoCoMo just announced, the CPR has 12 micronozzles to to emit just the right odor to identify the caller. You could thus know who is calling just form the smell of him or her. Visually too, the robot is different from other cell phones. It can do a special dance (3 different patters) which would let you know if the caller is a friend or foe. The vibrations too are of three distinctive patters and are emotionally programmed. So calls from say stalkers would distress you even by the type of vibration that the phone robot creates. The CPR is equipped with wheels and with guidance from RFID tags, it is able to move around the area designated for it.
