NHL goes fashionable, new uniforms for players

Posted by Funkyguy on January 26, 2007 3:13 PM

new-reebok-unis.jpgReebok, the latest sponsor for NHL has decided to go in for a fashionable as well as performance enhanced uniform for the players. These uniforms will have the special advantage of being resistant to moisture that the player faces during play (including sweat and drinks) which will not be able to seep through as a result would not weigh the player down, as is the case with traditional uniforms. In an age where every bit of advantage is needed and where winning counts for everything, these uniforms are thought to provide the winning edge.

Reebok has also asked the designers to throw in some extra padding around the hip regions (an approximately 60% increase) which helps in preventing injuries. The hip area is particularly vulnerable to injuries in this sport.
