While on the subject of cleanliness and stains, how about ensuring that they never get there in the first place? Innumerable number of expensive rugs, carpets and sofas must have been destroyed by pets convinced that this soft cushiony feelings is their territory alone and it must be claimed by - urinating on it. The sofa guard pet alarm is a funky device which lets the pet know that this is really not such a good idea. The guard is a simple yet extremely effective device and consists of a mat which is 4 and a half feet long. Lay it on the rug , carpet or sofa and as soon as the pet jumps on it an extremely loud alarm (105 decibels). To have an idea as to how loud that is, understand that a snow blower produces 110 decibels of sound and is extremely annoying not to mention impossible to work next to it without ear muffs. Though the MP3 ear muffs would not be such a great idea either.
However coming back to the topic in question, the alarm costs 37$ and sounds only when the animal jumps on the sofa. It is a nifty way to train the dogs and cats that the sofa or cushion is certainly not their territory. Coming to think of it, cats hardly ever mess up the living areas, they just seem to have some sort of innate ability to know the right things. Dogs are these lovable fools who have to be taught the hard way, but having either of them makes the whole experience worthwhile. I am sure my fellow pet owners shall agree.
