Its the twenty first century and looking for kids by shouting their names up and down the street is so not in. Make sure to get them this electronic dog collar *sheesh* ; are we getting paranoid or not. But seriously though, with the increasing crime rates against children, the kid tracking system called as the LBS (location based services) should be brought into the United States too. It enables people to find the geographical location of others via a small terminal.
Before you say that GPS does the same thing, let me clear it up, GPS does not work in more places then one. Especially shadow areas such as inside buildings. If your kid has been mugged, then you can have my assurance that the kidnapper will not hold him or her under the open skies. With the terrestrial LBS system, targets can be found within a radius of 20-50 meters regardless of their location. A second-phase tracking system, which will be used in an emergency, can find targets within a radius of just 1 meter. The device will be manufactured in the form of a wearable watch or necklace so that its true purpose cannot be found.
In Korea, the device first needs to be purchased for 170$ USD and then require the parent to pay a monthly fee of 8$.
