Another worlds first. As the middle east economy braces itself to face the world once it runs out of oil or humanity finds an alternate source; they are going all out in investing money into the necessary infrastructure which can convert this desert into an oasis of wealth. The $500-million Hydropolis Undersea Resort as it shall be called shall boast of lavish suites, a ballroom, a shopping mall and a missile-defense system to ward off terrorists - no we surely aint kidding!

While the completion date of 2008 seems to be too boastful, the hotel which shall be 60 feet underwater is already in the pre-construction phase. There are talks also of competing firms trying the same concept in Fiji islands.
