Amazingly true, the R2-D2 trash can (always wondered if they made him out of a trash can in the first movie thanks to his size and form) has a Japan only license. Thanks to ThinkGeek for managing to get a limited number for sale in the States. The R2-D2 trash can has absolutely nothing electronic or robotic worth mention, yet it sells, Star Wars afficandos rule apparently in this Universe and they certainly dont mind paying an amount like USD $150 for a trash can.
Features
- Office Sized Trash Can is A Detailed Model of R2-D2
- Stands 24" High
- Step on R2's center Foot and his Head Pops open to Accept your Trash
- Removable Interior Can with Handle Makes Trash Removal Easy

Unfortunately, before i could squeel out the good news to all of my readers, Think Geek further reports that they are already sold out on this neat little invention. They do advice joining the 'let me know when available list' which is growing by the second. Since they promise to get more in June, come June its going to be a case of the fastest click happy finger first.
