Experience stores to pave the way for future : Kickass Walmart says Samsung

samsung-logo.gifOr what they meant to say anyway. Taking a little creative liberty there, but the concept that Samsung have introduced in New York has threatened to change the way that shoppers buy things. In their first store in the United States, Samsung refused to sell anything! They asked the customers to simply come in , have a nice time with their products. If its a washing machine, try washing clothes, if its a plasma TV, watch a game ; cellphone? make a call - the concept was so unique that sales persons had to coax customers to try all the different products.

Results found that it indeed paid off, about 31% of the consumers who visited the store and ended up making a purchase in the following year made their preferred brand a Samsung. Samsung claims that the company made nearly 55 million dollars thanks to this innovative idea. Last week AT&T announced that 11 'experience stores' would be opened across the country. The idea is already used by Motorola, Sony and Verizon since some time.
