Meizu MP3 player - specs confirmed

meizum3.jpgThe Meizu MP3 player, which has been dubbed as the 'iPod clone' by nearly every technology website in Cyberspace has just confirmed its specifications. We do feel its a bit unfair for Meizu, while it has taken 'inspiration' form the iPod - who hasnt? iPods were responsiblefor creating a whole genre and the Meizu takes it one step further by creating a iPod nano copy sans the scroll wheel. This in my opinion was one of the prime reasons for the success of the iPod. As for the details of the Meizu music player, its cheap thats what stands it ints favor. It goes on sale in China for approximately $65 .

The player will be able to handle MP3 / WMA and WAV files with ease. It can also play XviD encoded AVI videos at 25 fps. MP3 based voice recording and my personal favorite, a FM tuner built-in are amongst the other details that have surfaced. Electronista wisely adds that the Meizu is unlikely to appear in America or Europe due to the likely copyright trouble that the company can very well do without at this stage.
