If you thought that the Wii mote was an extremely fun way of changing the very manner in which we play video games, than Nintendo has more in store for you. A lot more in fact. According to the Nintendo World Report, they are looking into incorporating speech recognition technology into Wii games. They are also looking into the possibility of having text-to-speech for Wii. Announced by company’s middleware developer Takeshi Shimada - it does bear weight. Another thing that they were trying to achieve was to make the Wii more intelligent. A manner of predictive input which would be able to speed up gaming since the Wii would be able to predict your next motion based on your previous movements.
Way to go Nintendo! We are loving it!!
Oh and by the way, Chris Hecker was forced to eat his own shit, when he apologised for calling the Wii a shit. "I do not think the Wii is a piece of s***." He praised Nintendo for its innovation with controllers, user interfaces and making games more accessible, and for manufacturing a console "that you don't need to mortgage your house to afford" ; and thats what we said in the first place when he made that comment.
