Being in the blogging industry has its downsides. Whenever we make any claims, its usually followed up by words like 'rumor' , 'expected' , 'anticipated' , 'not for production' ; well you get the idea. So when we came across the Pink Zune getting confirmed - from Microsoft, we decided to be clear about it. Microsoft has put its seal on approval on a pink zune (whats next? A blingy version?) , which it hopes will get a much better reception. All the hype and hoopla about the Zune taking on the iPod was washed away and the iPod continues to firmly rule the roost.

For those of you who think that you already read about the Pink Zunes, well there was a limited batch of about a 100 pieces produced sometime last year, but now its going mainstream - you could buy a 100 pieces all for yourself. But now that they are no longer limited material, would you really? Lets ask how the poor blokes who bought those limited edition pieces feel.

I do agree with Gizmodo about linking up with a charity if they are going pink , otherwise the concept has been flogged to death and Microsoft seriously cannot expect any extra sales from this move.
