Rather than hassling around with the VGA and / or DVI ports as we are used to, kids in the enxt generation will have things extremely simple. The printer? - USB port, Modem? - USB port , Keyboard? - USB port, Mouse? - USB port and now, thanks to Samsung, what they are claiming as the worlds first, Monitor? - USB port. We used to have seperate ports for each of the above mentioned peripheral and had to be sure of what goes where and be careful otherwise the pins would bend. When USB ports came up (2-4 on each motherboard) , people wondered if so many would be needed and then there was the question if device manufacturers would prefer them.

Today the entire accessory market has moved to USBs and there are an infinite number of toys that make use of the USB port. My personal favorite is the humping USB doggy

This invention by Samsung means you can connect as many monitors as you need to a single machine. Available in 19 inches initially, it's due out in May for $678, no word on UK pricing as yet.
