The mouthwatering new Ford Fiesta will arrive in Europe first, much to the chagrin of American car lovers. They will have to wait nearly a year before they will be able to see the Fiesta (based on the Ford Reflex concept) ply their roads. Arriving in America in late 2009, the car — based on the new Mazda2 — will be lighter than the current Fiesta and feature a 1.6-liter powerplant. Ford asks you to expect a car with 'trapezoidal grille, pointy headlamps, and pronounced wheel arches' according to the gurus at Leftlanenews.
Initial previews to the new Ford Fiesta have shown that the consumers have instantly taken to the car.
