Every few months I forget how 'small is wonderful' isnt necessarily true for the poor electronics. While we squeeze more chips into an ever smaller space, the heat generated has nowhere to go. And since consumers dont like the sound that a whirring fan produces, the poor things have to put up with all the heat. Our gaming consoles are the worst suffering of the lot, with the amount of processing , there sure is a lot of heat generated. And long playing hours dont make it any easier. Since performance of the unit goes up with a lower temperature, many users like modifying their units with cooling fans.
A company from China has come up with this easy way of keeping your Wii cool. simply plug this mod into one of the USB ports of the Wii and let it handle the rest. No more needing a seperate power point either. A pass-through USB port ensure that the Wii remotes can be charged simultaneously while the Wii is cooled.
Oh and they do promise that the fan will run silently.
