While we in the west enjoy reading about the new automated gizmos and vending machines (read the T-shirt vending machine, probably the largest in the world to believe me) ; the sad truth is that the society is becoming anti-social. Or at least thats what Kurosaki san thinks. And Kurosaki san certainly knows about these things, considering that he is the director-general of the Japan Vending Machine Manufacturers Association. And he basically thinks that the astounding success enjoyed by vending machines in recent years is due to this fact.

There are 5.5 million vending machines in Japan and the trend is showing no signs of abating. They even have vending machines for fruits and vegetables if you can believe that. Of course some for porn too.
