Very few people think about getting out of the typical hero-kills-villain-sleeps-with-his-wife kind of story lines and making a movie on some real issues in the world. Like our man, Don Cheadle. He may look extremely like a chimp, but the man has talent the size of an ocean. He has announced his interests in doing a movie about the Darfur crisis in Sudan and the number of ‘atrocities’ connected with it. The civil war in the African state has been in the shadows for a while now and maybe it is time that somebody thought to get up and make a movie on it.
And who else better than the dudes with the money. Don’s made an excellent point and let’s only hope that some interested producer sniffs the potential on the movie and thinks of investing amount for some good. Don’s been an actor with a subtle shine of brilliance. In most of his roles, he seems to have a casual suaveness that very few people seem to posses in the glossy industry. Amongst the handful of real talent, he can weave out a story that would really speak to the masses. Like perhaps the Ocean’s thirteen team. Each one was a work of art than the other. That would be pushing it, but the thought is that counts – a spark to ignite the flame.
