Any technology with a label saying, “I am Eco-friendly”, immediately gets our respect and admiration. When most tech companies are bending rules, to gain a bit extra profit -- it comes as a pleasant surprise to read that Toshiba notebooks are getting, highly, positive marks from the Green Electronics Council.
The council’s main objective is to encourage eco-friendly electronic products development and usage. Toshiba’s notebooks have received highest eco friendly approval rating -- and the council has bestowed Gold Status on five notebooks. The Gold status notebooks include all Portégé R400 and Portégé R500 configurations as well as the Tecra M9 with the product prefix of PTM91 and two models of the Tecra A9 with the product prefixes of PTS52 and PTS53.
On a green note, I want to say, from now on we should make a point to ask, if the product is eco-friendly, like Toshiba notebooks. If no, chuck it, and go for the Eco & Green Toshiba, never mind the specifications.
