There is more news from the Olympus stable -- it is about their ultra 18x zoom lens (with 27 mm wide angle) 8 mega-pixel camera -- “SP-560 UZ”. It comes with all the advance technology, like Face Detection, Shadow Adjustment, TruePic III™ Image Processor (for better and sharper images), Perfect Shot Preview, and also incorporates Dual Image Stabilisation -- the double guard against blur caused by camera shake.
SP-560 UZ sports a 6.4cm/2.5” LCD and comes with 24 scene modes, for smile shots, and underwater wide and macro shots. Equipped with high-speed sequence shooting (15fps) and pre-capture mode -- which automatically captures five frames before the photographer clicks the actual shot -- the camera is suited for both the first times and amateur photographer.
The camera captures images at 15 frames per second. The company claims that the “SP-560 UZ offers the highest burst rate of any compact digital camera, and can capture more with one lens than most other cameras capture with two or three lenses.”
Schedule to hit the shelves in October, this year, and has a retail price tag of $450. Not a bag bargain, if you are getting an eight pixel shooter with 18x zoom lens.
