The big baby among the Olympus Stylus new sisters, “Stylus 1200”, is all set for an October launch. This little pricey, all weather, 2.7-inch LCD screen -- digital camera sports a 12 mega-pixel sensor and a little timid 3x zoom lens. Stylus 1200 also incorporates TruePic III image processor, which enhances reproduction of image colors, lowers noise and quickens processing speeds.
It features the now ubiquitous Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment Technology, along with Perfect Shot Preview, Image Stabilization, large HyperCrystalTM LCD screens and Preset Shooting Modes. Equipped with digital image stabilization (DIS) and DIS Edit, it gives you the option to fix blurry photos, sizes, text options, frames, color brightness and saturation adjustments.
The main highlight of this big baby is 12 mega-pixel. It maximizes image quality when producing large-format prints or cropping/enlarging a portion of an image. I am still rooting for the least expensive of the three sisters. But, if you are interesting in buying this one, you can possess it for $350.
