Pentax, recently, launched its 10 mega-pixel Optio S10 and it is schedule to hit the shelves in September. For some odd reasons, all the new cameras (from all big shots) will be ready for mass consumption in September. Let’s wait for the cat fight to begin. What makes Pentax different, its size -- for a moment I thought it is a smaller box of playing cards.

This 3X optical zoom sports a 2.5 –inch screen. It has the regular feature like face recognition technology, according to the company they have improved on it -- this feature in their camera includes Natural Skin and a Half length Portrait Mode -- making it easier to automatically click close-ups of subjects recognized in the frame.

Also has shake reduction, Digital SR feature -- it also comes with Auto Picture mode and has Video recording option at 30fps. It is equipped with 22MB of memory expandable via SD and SDHC card and also other shooting modes.

The price is not yet known, and according to me there is nothing unique or special in this camera, price might make all the difference.
