In a frantic effort to salvage its sinking electronics sales, Sony introduced a new series of flat screen televisions, Bravia line. At one go, the company has launched 15 new models, and one of them is the world’s largest LCD T.V sporting a 70-inch screen. These new models are 40 percent thinner than the previous ones, and range in size from 40-inches to 70.
They feature, MotionFlow 120Hz, which keeps the moving images spotless when the TV is set on a moving backdrop, Photo Mode to smoothen digicams pictures while viewing it on TV. According to Sony the new models have advanced technology, which will eliminate fuzziness.
It will take a while, before all the 15 models are up on the shelf, March 2008 is the scheduled D-month for 10 million Bravia LCD TVs to walk the sales ramp. About the price, retail prices to range from 2,360 dollars for the cheapest 40-inch model to 35,000 dollars for the top-end 70-inch set.
Along with calling the whole announcement impressive, I would also add that it is like screaming aloud, “you cannot ignore us anymore”, and seems more like a bombardment. Whatever be the case, we can only wish Sony, all the best.
