We will charge you a whopping $5000, because it has got an uber cool outer skin and nothing matters more. That is not what Lenovo says, but that is what it seems to me. I am talking about the 5000-unit limited edition ThinkPad – this so-called piece of art’s cloak is made of hand stitched saddle grade premium French leather. If you think the offering is überleet, we do not belong to the same sphere. Other than its Skin, these 5000 leather beauties come with all-hours executive-class service and support.
It sports a 12.1in LCD screen and is powered by low-voltage 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 CPU, with 2GB of memory. Each of the ThinkPad is individually numbered and features 160GB hard drive and 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, and runs Windows Vista - Ultimate Edition.
No BLU-ray or HD DVD drive, has the usual CD and DVD burner. If you are fond of leather and like to chat -- with the specially trained and dedicated support staff -- to solve your laptop issues, and also have a healthy bank balance, go for it before there is no machine left (I doubt if a sensible mind will buy one -- but one should always expect the unexpected).
