Another one joins the mega storage capacity club – Seagate's “Momentus 5400.4” Series hard drives and it is quite a toughie to the core. This is first for me, a tough (hard) drive, according to the company, this drive packs, “operating and non-operating shock resistance of 325 Gs and 900 Gs, respectively, making it ideal for systems that are subject to rough handling or high levels of vibration.”

This hard to crack hard drive (nut) after its installation will suit the working styles of both the super heroes and bad men, and is also a good launch for men on the war front. All the hard to beat men (and also women) demand laptops to be equipped with this HDD.

Am I forgetting something … before you all start accusing me of giving you only half the news, this 2.5-inch hard drive -- with rotational speed of 5,400rpm and 8MB of cache -- has capacities of up to 250GB. That is quite a whopping capacity, but still falls short of Toshiba’s record.

It also comes with SoftSonic fluid-dynamic bearing motors and QuietStep ramp load technology (making the hard drives almost inaudible), and the latest offering is also not a big time power consumer, and you can run your notebooks for longer time after a full battery charge.

It seems to be a perfect solution for makers of mainstream notebook PCs, workstations, external storage enclosures and small form factor desktop PCs. The drive is slated to ship to system builders and original equipment manufacturers in the fourth quarter of calendar 2007.
