Asus has recently unveiled its upgraded ultra-portable U1E model notebook. This 2.2 pound and 11.1-inch WXGA display Asus little baby is powered by Intel Core Duo ULV7500 processor, and features up to a 100GB hard drive, and built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, with an external DVD burner. The light weight is because of the 3-cell battery; however, it offers an option to go for a nine-cell battery (six hours of battery life).

The optical drive is external. The thing that might pinch you hard is its price---$2,844. That is exorbitant and I do not see it offering something extraordinary. You people need to make a choice, and if you are interested in buying Asus latest notebook---it is all set for the Italian market next month.
