It is the turn of Panasonic to usher in a new line of 7-series notebooks in the rugged notebooks market--- CF-R7, CF-W7, CF-T7, and CF-Y7. All the four notebooks are based on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform, which combines a processor, chip set and a wireless adapter. These new models come with upgraded memory at 1 GB and have an 80GB hard disk. All of them comes with 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN (does not support the latest 802.11n version).

The new Panasonic beauties are quite chic but at the same time a hard nut to crack. You can drop it from a height of 76 centimeters---while switched on and working---and you can still keep breathing as it will still work without any problem. All the models can bear pressure of 100kg on the case and are liquid resistant (handle up to 200 millimeters of water). The keyboard comes with a system that can funnel water through the machine and out of a drain hole in the base.

If you are living in Europe, the Panasonic offers two new features with an HSDPA module---the SIM card is located on the top of the case, as well as an optional touch screen panel (available only in some models).
