Buffalo Launches TurboUSB-charged USB Hard Drives

Buffalo Technology -- latest offering -- promises Speedy file transfer and enhanced performance. The company recently announced the availability of an improved array of MiniStation and DriveStation products with TurboUSB technology, which are compatible with both PC and Mac. While TurboUSB MiniStation offers up to 64 percent better file transfer rates than standard USB 2.0 hard drives, the TurboUSB DriveStation file transfer speeds by up to 37 percent.



The portable -- hard like nut – MiniStation is a shock shock-resistant USB 2.0 external hard drive. It features a wrap-around cable (ingeniously integrated into the drive), and shock-absorbent internal design (16 shock absorbers used) and uses computer through a powered USB port or hub, to power itself. You can choose from 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 250GB, and 300GB capacity options.

DriveStation is designed for those who want to back up their filed, with comfort. It features auto-setup function, auto power-on, and auto-backup scheduling. It is available in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB.

Both the Mini and Drive comes with Secure Lock Ware utility, which offers up to 256-bit AES encryption of both the drive and stored files.
