French men have art running in their blood, however I did not visualize they will create something as mundane as -- “LaCie Golden Disk”. French industrial designer, Ora-Ito, has created wavy liquid gold top (the gold is real) flashy drive. According to the product site, the drive is supposed to “bring a liquid-motion look to your digital life.” Looking at the picture, I do not see anything liquid (looks like a golden top brick) and for sure it has no motion. Gold and Diamonds should better keep a distance from technical and digital stuff, they make them unaffordable and distasteful, and I am not fond of either.

For the gold digital lovers, its features (so called good points) -- equipped with Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface, and can used with both PC and Mac. It is fan free for no noise action and comes with LaCie ‘1-Click’ Backup Software for easy backups.

This drive is going to cost you approx - $189 and will hit the shelves in October. However, if you have taken a great liking to it, you can pre-order it now.
