Sony Electronics -- in a calculated move -- is targeting the British people with its three brand new notebooks, especially designed for the UK market. The three models that will vie for the Queen and her natives’ attention are – “VGN-AR51SU”, “FZ20 Series” and “Vaio L series”. There are no details available about the new launches date of availability, and their price tags. But, we know a little bit about their specifications.
All the three models come with the option of a Blu-ray Disc Drive, or Combo Drive. The 17-inch X black LCD -- VGN-AR51SU -- notebook is compatible with full HD and Blu-ray. It is powered by Intel (Centrino Duo) processor. This model has an integrated TV Tuner (with a remote control) and also features HD decoding functions. The laptop specs have enough power to edit HD1080, all due to the processor and NVIDIA GeForce graphics with hardware HD decoding.
The VAIO F20 Series -- 15.4-inches -- comes with HD playback. Even this model is equipped with Intel Centrino Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce graphics with hardware HD decoding, which provides the power to edit HD1080.
The VAIO L-Series comes in two models, LT and LM models. While LT sports a 22-inch screen, the LM model comes in 19-inch screen. It comes with an integrated slot-in Blu-ray Disc Drive, and features ultra-slim chassis, wireless keyboard, and mouse. Other features are twin hybrid analogue/DVB-T digital TV tuners, and a 320 GB hard disk.
Vaio has an aura of royalty around it, because of its chic curves and scintillating case -- though I know for certain the Queen will not use it but will her disciples take a liking to VAIO … we can only keep our fingers crossed.
