Lately, I have been harping a lot about face recognition technology in dig-cams. If the face recognition comes in laptop and that too with a twist, it is time to sit straight and read what the hype is about the Webcam Security system. NEC has unveiled laptop models -- “LaVie C and D� -- in which webcam ensures that only the real you can access the laptop and use it. Stringent security measures for risky times, but I am not sure if it will let a swollen or a hazy you access your laptop, or what happens if someone tampers with it.

Both the NEC laptops -- with webcam security system -- sports a 15.4-inch screen and Blu-ray Drive. However, while the C model has Core 2 Duo processor, LaVie D is equipped with Celeron. The models have a price tag of about $1,300 to $2,675.

So, get ready and make your face webcam friendly.
