If you are a modder, you will understand the itch to beat the other modder’s design. After all, it is the question of one’s weird tech designing pride. In this zeal to be more unique than others, modders are leaving no stone unturned. When the present is almost covered -- beer server, bat mobile, WMD, Y2K bug -- they are rummaging in the past for inspiration. This modder gets his inspiration from the ancient rotary phone design and creates his mod PC in cracked wood and hooking it up to an old phone.

The direct dial-up may not work, but if you dial through Skype and other VoIP connections, the phone may ring and you may talk all mordenish, “Yo Man, howz life …?” In case, you did not like the mod, you can also call up the crazy designer (provided you get the number) and ask, "Dude, what the hell were you thinking?
