Recently, SanDisk announced new memory sticks and SD cards -- the 4GB Ultra II SDHC, Multi Card Express Card Adapter, 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo and 8GB Memory Stick Micro. The new additions provides more storage space and at a much affordable cost. Out of the four, 4GB Ultra II SDHC and Multi Card Express Card Adapter are the more notable ones.
4GB Ultra II SDHC has read/write speeds of around 10MB/s, a full 4MB faster than the high-level Class 6 speed. It also comes with Hinge Lock, which allows the card to be directly attached to the USB port.
While Multi Card Express Card Adapter allows computers with ExpressCard slots to read a variety of SD and Memory Stick formats (SD, SDHC, and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo).
Price & Availability
4GB Ultra II SDHC -- $80 and will be available in October,
Multi Card Express Card Adapter -- $30 and will be available in September
8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo -- $160 and will be available in October
8GB Memory Stick Micro -- Available in Q4, Price not known
