If we thought only Sony is crazy enough to launch an array of Vaio series, it is time we change our opinion. HP is all set to turn the tables on its competitors (I am assuming), by launching, not one or three but in total six laptops. The laptops all ready to hit the shelves are -- dv2600, d6600, dv9600, and tx1300, and the new HP G7000 and HP G6000's are also being introduced in the form of Compaq Presario F700 and F500 model.

The display screen sizes vary from 12.1 inch with the tx1300 up to 17 inches with the dv9600. And the CPU differ from 6GHz Core Duos and 1.7GHz Athlons up to 2.2GHz Core 2 Duos. The latest HP dv models come with HDMI and the dv2600 features some kind of funky new print on its case cloak.

They are quite a bunch of HP babies, but let’s see which one leads among the pack and bring in the all important profits. The big question is, when Apple is going to launch the counter onslaught?
