Some more news from the Toshiba stable and this time it about a new camcorder---the “Gigashot A100F camcorder”. It is already a clogged market and if a product is stepping inside the ring---it has to scream at the top of its voice, “I claim.” And this new camcorder is claiming to be the smallest "Full HD" camcorder in the world. The 78.1mm x 135.4mm x 79.0mm Gigashot A100F camcorder sports a 3" LCD display and is equipped with 10x optical zoom. It features a shock-mounted 1.8 inch 100GB disk with 1/3" CMOS sensor 2 megapixel stills or 1,920 x 1,080 recordings at 60fps with 16 bit/48kHz Dolby digital stereo audio at a 384kbps bit rate.
You get an almost 14 hours of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formatted video, and 24 hours of formatted video if you use the standard mode option. The other features are HDMI and component out, and USB linkup and an integrated hard drive.
Gigashot A100F camcorder is slated for a November shipment. There are two version available, the little pricey one will you cost you approx. $1,628 and the economical one has a price tag of approximately, $935.
