When stars and celebrities do a bit for charity it’s a good thing. But when they go over board with their benevolent act, you would stop to wonder what is going on. Singer Shakira has donated $45million for a Latin charity and she feels ‘someone has to start this beneficiary, kind act’. Heard that line before? Every star uses it. And everyone follows the same public relation techniques to make their statement sound unique and cool.

The donation was made by the ALAS (Latin America for Solidarity Foundation) of which she is a founding member. She wants to help Latin American, natural disaster affected people. It’s amazing how the public relations for the stars work. They smell out every niche and nook where they can throw their client into the limelight – as low cut as it may seem sometimes. It has always been a thought to ponder over what this money is ACTUALLY used for? Maybe she could use all the money next time to get more of those Latin chics to shake a hip the way she does. Though that would be a threat to individuality.
