The lady I stayed with in my early student days owned 2 cats and 2 dogs. Now with that sort of canine population in the house, there was not just one but 2 pet doors. Fine with me, but for the fact that every now and then the flea ridden kitten from the neighbour would join in for lunch or dinner.

The old lady didnt mind the extra addition, but I always worried about Holly (thats my favorite cat) getting something from the neighbours cat. A pity we couldnt just lock the doors and give the keys to our pets.

The RFID cat door lets you keep track of the number of entries or exits made by each individual pet and also I suspect whether to allow or bar entry to strangers. You could also find out if your pet is inside or still out just by taking a peek at the LCD display on the cat door.
