Living in a Jet Plane

Contrary to the words of the popular song that go something like Leaving on a Jet Plane, this granny must be the only one on earth to actually live in one. That means her home is inside a salvaged jet plane. A storm brought down trees on her original house making it unfit for living. er brother-in-law, who happened to be an air traffic controller at Greenwood Airport, suggested she look into the possibilities of living on a retired jet liner.

There was an aircraft salvage company nearby that specialized in outfitting jet liners.

She then bought a retired Continental Airlines aircraft for USD $2000 and spent some $24,000 on making it comfortable enough to live in. Far less than what she would have ended up spending trying to repir her original house.

Jo Ann has cheekily named her dream home “Little Trump” after Donald Trump’s jetliner.
