Nuclear powered homes would mean unlimited energy to do what you want without bothering about the cost and even worse- the dreaded greenhouse emissions. However I reckon last you checked the Fed wasnt looking too kindly upon folks who tried to get one for themselves. This, I promise you, is about to change.
Toshiba - yeah, the same friendly neighbourhood company has managed to perfect a nuclear reactor which is a hundred times smaller than the smallest reactor at present. Its completely automatic so you wont need to get that degree in Nuclear Physics after all - and obviously promised to be completely safe.
There are no control rods in this new class of reactor: Instead, it uses reservoirs of an isotope called liquid lithium-6. These reservoirs are connected to a tube that sits in the reactor core. The whole setup is projected to provide energy for 40 years at 5 cents per kilowatt. The first reactor should be installed in Japan in 2008 and in the US and Europe in 2009.
Unlimited energy eh - muahahahahaha, I suddenly know exactly how Skeletor felt each time he held the Sword of He-man.
