Apple has often been criticised by the eco-minded populace of not doing enough to be green. So far Apple resisted the calling, but considering that the brand image of Apple is getting more and more important by the day , they have finally decided to take steps in the right direction.

The new Macbook and Macbook Pro will both ditch their plastic covers and go in for aluminium and steel casing. This would mean that instead of heading to the dump when its life is over, the computers could be effectively recycled. This does create worries about weight, but considering that the company is currently at the zenith of designing with the Apple Air, its sure to have been all worked out already.

The Macbook Pro will also get a larger keyboard and trackpad similar to the Air.
