Asus has just announced a new laptop computer with a 1 terabyte hard disk drive. Of course 1 Terabyte is equivalent to 1000 Gigabytes for those who are wondering. The M70 notebook will be featuring full HD capability as well as Blu-ray support.
The M70 packs a 17-inches WUXGA wide-screen displaying 1920 x 1200 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio, plus a 1.3 mega pixels swivel Web cam. It comes with built-in Altec Lansing speakers and Dolby Home Theater. It is powered by Intel Centrino Processor technology and users have the option to choose from five Core 2 Duo processors including T7500, T7700, T8100, T8300, or T9300. Similarly, gamers have the option to choose from two graphics cards -- ATI Mobile Radeon HD3650 with 1G VRAM (500GBx2) or HD3470 with 256MB VRAM.
Meanwhile, RAM is expandable up to 4GB. Moreover, consumers have the option to choose from a range of HDD including 12.5-inches HDD 500G or 9.5-inches HDD 160/200/250/320GB. But it supports up to 1TB HDD. The touch pad of the M70, when not in use as cursor platform, can be converted into a control deck for video or music entertainment.
To address security concerns, facial scans and fingerprinting technology will also be pre-loaded on to the Asus M70.
