Given the euphoria over the eeePC laptop, for which I firmyl blame the blogosphere. ASUS is going a bit overboard by declaring its intentions to get a desktop of the same type. The eeePC laptop owed its success to a) the price and b) the size. Plus the fact that it comes in linux was simply delightful for the geeks.

The layman may find out what its all about when Windows XP powered versions comes out later this year. They will of course loose out the price advantage when the cost of Windows sinks in.

Whichever way you may see it, an eeePC desktop does not sound thrilling at all.
