You may have seen pictures of this beauty in your grandfathers album. Even then given the photography in the 1930s and the lack of color, you would be hard pressed to identify her. Especially since no one would expect a car from 1938 to look so new. Well she looks new because Zagato set out to recreate the 1938 coachbuilt roadster that his grandfather Ugo crafted based on the versatile 1938 Lancia Aprilia chassis.
Only three or four were originally built, none of which are still around today.
The recreated car is powered by Aprilia VR-4 motorcycle engine that produces just 48 hp at 4300 rpm, propelling the neo-classic spider to a top speed of 126 km/h. Luckily for us they decided to double production. This time, they will make 9 of these classic beauties retailing for 150,000 Euros each.
