And by train markets if you thought people selling stuff on trains, then far from it. I have seen hundreds of such train sellers while using Indias train services, but even my train track cum toilet tracks hardened eyes were surprised by this picture. It seems that in Bangkok , the Maeklong Market is built squarely on top of the tracks.

Each time a train arrives (and thats eight times a day) , the people part to let the train through.

Most amazing of all is that they have only lost two lives in twenty years of this market being in operation. I bet the train driver is on permanent meds for blood pressure control.
