One of the first VOIP applications for the iPhone. Unlike others which simply connect to their analog to VoIP bridge before you can do the VoIP thing ; Fring doesnt need to do that. You shall of course need an iPhone which has been jail broken and then need to be in the vicinity of a WiFi network before you can use Fring. Skype or SIP can then be used to make calls.

Fring also offers integrated instant messaging through Google, ICQ, MSN, AIM, Yahoo, and even Twitter
