Which is a new record in case you were not counting. This also means that flash memory has got a very good future contrary to the seriosly outdated HDD technology. SSD and flash memories are the only things that will be used in the future.

Since both of these dont have any moving parts, they are much less likely to corrupt your data and will have longer lifetimes. The new 64 Gigabit (Gb) multi level cell NAND flash memory chip will mean that most devices (handheld and cell phones) will be able ot increase their memory capacity.

This is double of the previous record and if the rate of growth continues we are looking at 128 gigs iPhone memories in 2009
