Here is one British school uniform supplier that puts its students where its mouth is. Not content with mere lobbying of reducing pollution and trying to save the planet, this supplier has decided to introduce uniforms made entirely from recycled materials.
Using yarn that's created from clear soda bottles, the cloth can be dyed in any of the traditional uniform colors, and looks and feels like regular polyester. About 30 1.5 Liter bottles are needed for each blazer, and while the cloth is being woven in Taiwan, the actual garments are sewn in Europe to allay concerns about child labor practices.
